Infrared Thermography

Infrared thermography (also known as infrared diagnostics, or infrared imaging) is the use of an infrared camera on a building to determine troublesome areas which may lead to reduced efficiency. The camera creates a visual inspection of all areas of the building by registering temperatures of various spots - pinpointing where drafts and air leakage could be occurring. This provides homeowners or project managers with a visual representation of the thermal envelope and its areas of strength and imperfection. This helps determine the areas of the building that need corrective air sealing or insulation work to increase efficiency and comfort - saving energy and money.

A9 Green offers infrared thermography testing individually or as part of an energy audit package.
